Designer Spotlight

Daniela Zagnolli - Designer Spotlight at Succarra
Describe Daniela Zagnolli in three words.
Modern, Versatile, Bold
Why design? Is it more of a new venture for you or something you have always done and wanted to do?
Since the age of 19 I have been immersed in the fashion industry, but I never thought I would become a designer. It is certainly a new venture for me. It’s very exciting and I am very happy with the results so far!
Who do you design for?
 For the independent modern woman.
What inspires you?
I draw my inspiration from the exotic influences of Brazil. Being Brazilian has had a big impact on my style and my designs.
Do you have a design routine or does it happen more organically?
I have a routine for everything in my life, except when it comes to designing!
Describe a day inside your studio.
I’m involved with every single thing that goes on in my office/studio. But I am always studying the new trends, color swatches and current inspirations within the fashion industry. When an idea comes to me, I stop everything I am doing to draw it out just to make sure I don’t miss the insight.
Which piece of yours is a personal favorite, why?
The Butterfly Cut Leather Cuff. It’s my favorite because it was my first.
How do you decide which materials to use?
Right from the start I wanted to design Fashion Jewelry, not the traditional gold/silver jewelry. I wanted to create a modern look. That’s why I decided to use the leather. The leather look is bold. And that’s what I wanted.
Tell us about your latest collection.
There is definitely more detailing on the leather, using rivets and beautiful Brazilian gemstones, like Tiger Eye, Citrine & Crystal stones.
What’s the most exciting thing to happen for Daniela Zagnolli lately?
Simply, the opportunity to expand and to share my unique designs all over the country. It feels amazing to get it out there for all to see.
